Born at home in rural Ohio on the family farm, Marv has a love of country life but found he was not a farmer at heart but an artist. He graduated from Central Academy of Art in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to the West Coast as a young man and studied at Chouinard Art Institute.

After a successful career as an Illustrator and Designer, MARV BREHM STUDIO was started in 1976 to provide a clear path for the Artist to concentrate his energy on fine art paintings and murals. Fine art murals produced in studio on unstretched canvas rather than directly on the wall became an instant success for their unique fine art quality and Marv Brehm was frequently mentioned by insiders as the foremost mural art source in the Western United States.

Marv and his family have lived in Huntington Beach, CA for the past 45 years, where he, his wife, grown children and grandchildren continue to live very close to the beach.

Marv in now concentrating on painting scenes of Huntington Beach, CA, as well as country life in Los Molinos in Northern California where he lives several months of the year.
